At $30/STC thats a drop of $780 for all new systems of 1.5kW or larger. MORE.. Additions to existing systems unaffected
Become a net exporter of electricity!:
Just as you can negotiate the cost of electricity
from your retailer, you can also negotiate the
price they will pay you for the excess electricity
that goes back to the grid.
Some retailers offer up to 6c/kWh premium feed-in-tarif,
eg you may get charged 25c/kWh day rate for electricity
you buy, but earn 31c/kWh for all excess that
goes back to the grid. (over 20% premium) You
can elect to be paid for your excesses, or go
into credit - (storage for winter?) With this
in mind as well as "hedging" against
rising electricity costs, you can turn this to
an investment with a guaranteed yield.
10kW is usually the max allowed by the electricity
retailers before they need to be individually
assessed/discussed with the retailer.
Solar power provides an additional financial
boost over many investments as the dollar
benefits are in savings – which are not
taxed. Other forms of investments, such as shares
or rental property are taxed; meaning the tax
liability should be taken into consideration when
performing an apples-to-apples comparison of solar
compared to other investments.
Sometimes referred to as the Internet of distributed
electricity generation, rooftop solar energy will
also play an important role in providing energy
security for the nation.

Grid-connected solar power systems can be likened to having your own solar power
station, that silently generates
green electricity for your own use, or any excess can be sold
to the electricity supplier, via the grid. It is therefore not
essential that the solar power system is sized to exactly
match what your daily power usage is. If you generate more
power than what you use, the balance is sold to the
electricity
supplier, and you can buy back any extra power that you may
need, at any time, to cover any shortfalls. (eg. night time).
During most of the day, some of the power
is consumed by lighting and appliances within the building and any excess power is fed into the grid for credit.
During the night, and periods of low Solar gain, the grid provides most or all of the power.
If you have sufficient panels to match your demand, then your annual electricity bill could
be reduced to $zero, AND your Greenhouse Gas Emissions reduced accordingly. With a
larger capacity, you may be able to earn a small income from the excess electricity.
What Size system do I need?
Our recommendation is that Solar Electricity (combined with Heat-Pump Hot Water or GAS/Solar hot water), reducing your overall electricity demand, and with attractive FEED-IN TARIFS* available, - represents a great investment opportunity, so get the highest capacity system you can, typically 2kW to 5kW. (Homes with Natural GAS appliances typically need about 1.5kW to 2kW to have zero electricity bills. Homes with no natural GAS and more electrical appliances need larger systems)
Commercial systems should typically start at about 5kW - great incentives with GST input credits and depreciation benefits! - check with your accountant)
Roof mounted or Ground mounted systems available
If you don't have a suitable roof for solar, but do have some unshaded ground space, we can offer you a ground mounted solar system, just give us a call
STANDARD GRID CONNECT SYSTEMS
We have several "standard - sized systems but we can tailor
any size system for you. We only use premium quality components
such as BLD, Hyundai and ALEX-Solar panels with 25yr output
warranty, SMA, Xantrex, AFORE inverters, and the sensational
new Micro Inverters.
NOTE: rebate prices are not fixed and do fluctuate, so prices indicated are a guide only.

The Microinverter - Latest in Solar Technology
Although they can cost a litte more than traditional
inverters, the Microinverter system can increase the
overall power output of the same panel array by up to
a whopping 25%!
1x Micro Inverter is connected to each solar panel,
and converts the low-voltage panel output to 240v
right there at the panel
Traditional inverter systems typically shut off
during low-light conditions, such as the morning and
evening or during thick cloud cover and they require
a minimum amount of incoming power to operate efficiently.
The Micro inverter resolves this problem. (more usable
electricity generated from the same panels)
The Micro inverter system goes into generation mode
even during low-light conditions. During these times,
the micro inverter stores up the trickle of power
coming from the panel, until there’s enough to send
a burst of energy. By doing this, the microinverter
is able to maintain highly efficient operation, even
during low-light conditions.
TheMicro inverter also solves the problem of reduced
string output when one or more panels are partially
shaded.
15 years warranty (3x
Remember: Microinverters can output up to 25% more kWh than standard inverters
