21st Century Building Heating
Studies have shown that heated floors provide the most
enjoyable warming experience!
Because
concrete slabs offer so much thermal mass, they lend themselves
well to long cycle in-slab heating systems. Despite the fact
that latest systems provide flexible thermostat settings for
different zones, slab heating is generally operational for
the whole of winter and is therefore best suited to buildings
with permanent or high occupancy.
Hydronic heating coils in the slab are very energy efficient, giving lower running costs and heating bills.
Used in conjunction with our building heater, 20mm or 25mm polypipe Hydronic Floor coil heating pipes are laid
throughout the concrete slab in separate "zones", during construction. Each zone can be later controlled
independently to heat only the area(s) required.
Warm water is circulated through the system of pipe work,
the floor is heated and radiates warmth. For slabs in contact
with the ground, insulation is placed under the coils to minimise
heat loss to the ground.
Concrete Slab - Building Heaters
These "21st Century" Hydronic Slab Water Heaters are unlike
any other, because:
- They have sensationally low running costs
- They are very efficient
- They are very durable and robust
- Multiple units can heat any sized slab
- They are sensationally priced
How does it work?
This hydronic slab water heater operates on a similar principle as
a refrigerator or reverse-cycle air-conditioner, and can produce
up to 4 times more heat energy than the power it consumes. It
literally extracts and absorbs solar heat energy from the atmosphere.
It can therefore operate in all seasons of the year, under all
conditions; shade, overcast, sun, rain, frost, even at night.
The relatively small amount of electricity consumed by the
system is only used to drive the process of heat absorption.
There is no direct use of electricity to create heat.
It incorporates corrosion resistant copper nickel heat exchanger
for long life, and comes with a 5year warranty.
During the life of this product, electricity will be generated
more & more from renewable resources, making it the energy
of choice.
