V35ZA Hydrocarbon Hydronic Heating Air Sourced Heat Pump
AVAILABLE FROM ALL LEADING HYDRONIC HEATING SPECIALISTS - INSIST ON THE BEST |
For heating up to about 350sqm of concrete slab area (45oC)
For heating up to about 300sqm floorspace for panel radiators (55oC)
- Extensive local R & D - Australian made and supported
- Quality components like Copeland compressors and Ziehl Abegg "OWL" fans
- Operates in cold climates with unparalleled, awesome efficiency
- Acoustiblok noise-reducing technology - one of the quietest heatpumps for its capacity
- Running costs can be further offset with Solar Electricity
Our V35ZA Hydronics Heat Pump is not an "off-the-shelf" import, it is unique and purpose-built to heat water for hydronic heating systems.
The cabinet and refrigeration system is pre-assembled to our design.
We finish them locally, fit compressors and complete the refrigeration system, fit primary circulation pump, fit Acoustiblok and other proprietry sound-reducing tech, charge them with Hydrocarbons, install control systems, fine-tune and put each heat pump through quality assurance testing.
Over the years we have developed our own inhouse heatpump tuning/monitoring rig.
Every machine that leaves our factory has been fine-tuned for its application, has been "run-in" for hours, and is shipped with its own performance guarantee. When it is delivered and installed, it will work faultlessly from day one.
All air-sourced heatpumps lose efficiency the hotter the water temp so we generally set our heatpumps to 45oC for slab heating, or 55oC for radiator heating (recommend design for 55oC inlet water temp for new radiator installations)
The dual compressor V35ZA can be spanned across 2 phases if you have 2 phase supply, or across 2phases of a 3ph supply.
We use Ziehl Abegg Hi-Tech Low Noise Owlet axial fans-for improved airflow and up to 15% higher fan efficiency. Acoustiblok ™, plus in-house noise-reduction technology, and installation techniques ensure lowest possible sound output level.
|
NOTE:
From July 2018 all V35ZA heatpumps will have a GPD25-16 primary circulation pump fitted internally.
For installation with a remote buffertank, a booster circulation pump may be required to achieve recommended water flow-rate.

We use Natural Organic hydrocarbons:
Our hydronic heat pumps use hydrocarbons instead of traditional fluorocarbon refrigerant.
When switching from fluorocarbons - R22, R410A, R502, R407C, R404A, etc., power bills can be dramatically reduced, and the wear and tear on the refrigeration system can also be minimised.
More efficient and economical:
The superior efficiency of naturally occurring hydrocarbon gases, which are purified and precision blended, combined with reduced charge weight results in great cost savings and on-going electricity savings for the user. Hydrocarbon refrigerants are 50% more efficient conductors of heat than fluorocarbon refrigerants, and their operating pressures are about 20% lower. These lower operating discharge pressures reduce the work that the compressor has to do thus reducing wear and tear. There is less pressure on pipework, joints, hoses, fittings and the like thus reducing the likelihood of leaks. This can and will extend the working life of your equipment.
Lower power input - lower power output?
Although our hydrocarbon heatpumps draw less power in operation than if we charge them with fluorocarbons, they also output less power at the top-end, but the magic is in the efficiency, much less power draw but only slightly less output power at the top-end
All these advantages equate to an energy saving of between 15% and 54%". (source https://www.engas.com.au/faq/)
It's the Natural Organic solution
Compliant with a number of national and international standards, such as: ISO 5149, the ISO/IEC 60335 series, BS 4434–1995 as well as AS/NZS 1677, which also covers the professional use of hydrocarbon refrigerants in Australia

 Hydronic circulation pumps
We offer a small range of circulating pumps to suit a variety
of applications.
An essential part of any hydronic heating system is the circulating
pump or pumps.
The following table lists a range of circ. pumps to compliment
our Air Sourced Hydronic Heat Pumps as primary circuit pump
between the heat pump and the buffertank, and as the 'zone'
pump(s) which circulate the water between the buffertank and
the floorcoils and/or radiator panels.
The primary circulation pump is matched to the flow-rate
required by the heat pump.
The secondary or zone pumps are usually 0.5 to 1.5 Litres
per second.
Some of our circulating pumps have 3 speeds to allow for varying
conditions:

Other Hydrocarbon Hydronic Heat Pump Models:
Simplified rules for sizing your Skyline Energy hydrocarbon heatpump for hydronic heating
- for MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY AND SERVICE LIFE!
- Calculate how many kW are required
- Look at the climatology of the location to establish the duration of 0oC to +4oC. Don’t just look at the extreme temps, look at the mean overnight temp and duration
- If the ambient air temp rarely dips below +4oC or does so for short periods then you can use this simple calculation...
3.3 x electricity input kW = heatpump output heat kW to size the heatpump.
- If the mean overnight ambient air temp is between 0oC and +4oC change the calculation to
2.2 x electricity input kW = heatpump output heat kW to size the heatpump.
- A more powerful heatpump will raise the water temp more rapidly so it will cycle off before it needs to defrost,
thereby maintaining a higher COP and efficiency.
- Warranty service may be refused if our sizing guidelines are ignored.
